This is Celia C. Tillman bringing you greetings and encouragement from the Honey-Comb of Praises. Our lesson for this month is WAIT ON THE LORD. Ladies, how many times have we been guilty of being impatient? The word impatient is used as an adjective which describes the noun or pronoun. Impatient shows the tendency to be quickly agitated or provoked. The word of God teaches that all who are Christians should follow after faith and patience, especially the older men and women who should be “sober, grave, temperate, sound in the faith, charity; in patience,”(Titus 2:2-3). They must also be sound in the doctrine of Christ, and to be good examples to the younger generation. An older person who has had years in the body of Christ should have grown in wisdom, and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. However, they must not be impulsive in their decision making, and lean not to their own understanding but to rely on God’s wisdom. In essence, however, waiting on God brings about putting our trust in him no matter how long it takes. To hope and trust in the Lord requires faith, patience; humility. Continue reading
